About rate limits

  • The rate limit is the maximum number of minutes of audio or video content that can be transcribed in a month when uploading media files to Fireflies.

Related: How to upload and transcribe—Web app, Mobile app.

  • Rate limits are applicable for the Pro, Business, and Enterprise tier users of Fireflies.

  • For individual users, the rate limit is 3,000 minutes/source/month. (approx 50 one-hour media files per month).

  • For teams, the rate limit is 3,000 minutes/user/source/month. If your workplace has 6 users, your rate limit would be 3,000*6 = 18,000 minutes/source/month. However, there will be an upper limit of 150,000 minutes/source/month per team.

  • The rate limit is calculated separately for each source. For example:

    • Uploads - 3000/mo/user

    • Dialers - 3000/mo/user

    • Zapier - 3000/mo/user

    • Past meetings - 3000/mo/user

  • For API, the rate limits apply to the number of requests you can make in a day. This varies across the subscription plans.

    • Free/Pro - 50 requests per day.

    • Business/Enterprise - 60 requests per minute.

  • For more details on the rate limits for API, check our API documentation guide.

  • We don’t impose any overage charges. The rate limits are implemented only to prevent abuse of the platform.
