This guide explains Fireflies transcription credits, storage, and rate limits for the Free, Pro, and Business tiers.
Fireflies offers flexible pricing for all teams:
- Free - $0
- Pro - $10/mo/user billed annually or $18/mo/user billed monthly.
- Business - $19/mo/user billed annually or $29/mo/user billed monthly.
- Enterprise - $39/mo/user billed annually
On top of the pricing, there are rate limits.
1. Rate Limits
The rate limit is the maximum number of minutes that can be transcribed in a month when uploading media files to Fireflies from different sources. It resets at the start of each new month and is calculated based on the duration of the uploaded audio or video file.
Here is a table showing when rate limits apply and when they don't.

Current Rate Limit policy:
- For individual users, the rate limit is 3,000 minutes/source/month. (approx 50 one-hour media files per month).
- For teams, the rate limit is 3,000 minutes/user/source/month.

- If your workplace has 6 users, your rate limit would be 3,000*6 = 18,000 minutes/source/month.

- This is calculated separately for each source. For example:

- 3,000 minutes for audio/video uploads
- 3,000 minutes for dialers
- 3,000 minutes for API uploads, etc.

- However, there will be an upper limit of 150,000 minutes/source/month per team.
- When the rate limit is exceeded, an overage charge of $0.01/minute applies for the additional minutes transcribed. This will apply from the next billing cycle.

2. Meeting storage limits
Meeting storage limits are the total number of minutes you can store in your Fireflies Notebook. It is calculated as the total number of meeting minutes per user. Applies only if you're on the Fireflies Free or Pro tier.
This includes the meetings of audio files you have uploaded and the live meetings you have transcribed using Fireflies.
Unlike rate limits, meeting storage limits don't renew every month. You and your teammates get a fixed meeting storage similar to cloud storage applications like OneDrive or Dropbox.
Here are the storage limits for different plans:

| Pro plan | 8000 mins/user (approx. 130 one-hour meetings) |

3. Transcription credits
Transcription credits are tokens needed to transcribe and summarize your meetings or files uploaded to Fireflies.
- If you’ve upgraded to a Fireflies paid tier (Pro and above), you get unlimited transcription credits.
- However, if you’re on the Fireflies free tier, the credits are decided based on the platform you use to create your Fireflies account. Here's a breakdown:
