The Fireflies Free plan gives you access to core transcription and collaboration tools. Here’s what you can do on the Free tier – and how to make the most of your account without upgrading.

Get started with transcription credits

Transcription credits power key actions like meeting summaries and uploaded file transcriptions.

Here’s how many you get when you sign up:

Each credit is used when you:

• Summarize a meeting transcribed by the Fireflies bot, Chrome extension, or mobile app

• Transcribe uploaded audio or dialer recordings

Storage limits

You get 800 minutes of storage per seat. This includes space for meeting recordings, uploads, and dialer calls.

If you hit the limit, delete older files to store new ones.

AI credits

The Free plan includes 20 AI credits per month to use advanced features like:

• AI Skills for tailored summaries

Multilingual transcription

The Meeting Feed highlights important insights and action items from your calls. You can automatically extract tasks and send them to tools like CRMs or project managers.

Contact management

Fireflies automatically links meetings to your contacts. You’ll be able to see AI-generated bios and track all meetings you’ve had with each person.

Public channels

You can organize meetings in your Notebook using public channels. The Free plan includes three default channels – My Meetings, All Meetings, and Shared with Me – and allows you to create up to three additional public channels.

Soundbites and playlists

Manually clip key moments as Soundbites or let Fireflies suggest them with AI (if credits are available). You can save and organize clips into playlists to share with your team.

Share settings

Control who can access recaps:

• Share with teammates or external guests

• Non-participants can view transcripts—even without a Fireflies account

Notebook search and team collaboration

Use the search bar to find past meetings by title, host, date, or transcript keywords. After the call, you can add timestamped comments, reactions, and bookmarks. Meetings can be played back at speeds from 1x to 3x.

You can also invite teammates to your workspace to share transcription credits, collaborate in shared Notebooks, and organize meetings together.
