This guide explains the steps on how to integrate Zoom with Fireflies so that Fireflies can automatically join Zoom meetings you host and capture meeting notes and summaries.
About this integration
With this integration, Fireflies automatically joins Zoom meetings you host without requesting your permission. Once connected, it will record, transcribe, summarize your meetings.
Note:
- If you're a participant and not the host, Fireflies will request permission from the host to join the meeting via a pop-up message.
- As per Zoom's latest mandate whenever Fireflies joins a meeting, Zoom will announce that the meeting is being recorded.
- A recording indicator will appear next to the bot’s name in the participants panel.

FAQs
Can this flow be disabled?
- Zoom mandates this flow. Fireflies follow these rules to ensure compliance with Zoom's security and privacy standards. However, for Zoom Enterprise, API, Education, or Business accounts with 100+ licenses, account owners and admins can disable the disclaimer for internal participants and customize the recording consent disclaimer. Please refer to this guide from Zoom to learn more about this
Will the bot join if I am not the host?
- If you're not the host, a request will be sent to the host asking for permission to let the Fireflies bot join. If the host denies the request, Fireflies will not record the meeting.
Can I enable the Zoom integration for the entire workspace?
- Yes, if you're the admin of the workspace, you can enable the Zoom integration for your entire team by toggling on the Enable Integration for Team option.
