How to start the Fireflies free trial

If you’re new to Fireflies, you’ll get the option to Start a free trial while creating your account.

If you have not used the free trial during sign-up, the option will be listed at the top of your Fireflies dashboard.

Click Start free trial.

Click Start your 7-day free trial.

Select a Monthly or Annual plan. The Monthly plan is selected by default.

Enter your card details, and click Start free trial.

Your free trial will be activated within seconds.

Note: Your card will only be charged for the Business plan if you don’t cancel before the 7-day trial ends.

The following steps are optional.

Invite co-workers and friends to your Fireflies workspace

After your free trial is activated, a popup will appear, giving you the option to invite coworkers to your Fireflies workspace.
Enter the email address of everyone you want to add to your workspace and click Send invite.

Alternatively, click the Copy link button to copy the invitation link and share it with your colleagues personally via DM or email.

If you don’t wish to add anyone, you may simply close the popup.

The invited teammates who join the workspace will be considered as additional seats.
Once the trial ends, all the invited and joined teammates will be moved to the same plan as yours.
So, if you're in the Business tier monthly - $29/mo and added 2 teammates, after the trial, you will be billed $29*3=$87/mo.

Start 7-day trial on AskFred

Next, the pop-up introducing AskFred - the ChatGPT meeting assistant will appear.

You may start a free trial for AskFred as well here or skip it by simply closing the popup.
To start a free trial on AskFred, choose the number of AI Credits you need.

Click on Start 7-day free trial.

You'll get a notification that your trial has started.
Click Get started with AskFred to begin using the ChatGPT assistant.

Optionally, you can also allow Fireflies to review and fine-tune prompts to improve AskFred for you.

Note:

If you've activated the AskFred trial during your Fireflies free trial after the free trial ends, you'll be automatically charged for any AI Credits you selected.
- For example, if you chose a monthly Business plan ($29/mo/user) and selected 500 AI credits/mo ($47.50/mo/user), you will be charged a total of $76.5/mo/user after the trial.
During your 7-day trial, your AI Credits won’t be consumed while using AskFred.
After the trial, the AI Credits will remain until the start of your next billing cycle.

After activating the trial, the remaining trial days are shown on the dashboard.

FAQs

Where can I find the end date of my free trial?

The free trial countdown will be displayed at the top of your Fireflies dashboard.

You may also find the trial end date displayed under Settings > Account Settings.

Cancel on or before this date to avoid being charged.

When will my card be charged during the free trial?

Your card will be charged immediately after the 7-day free trial ends unless you cancel the trial beforehand.

Can I cancel the trial anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your trial at any time before it ends to avoid being charged.

Will I lose access if I cancel the trial?

Upon canceling the trial, your account will be downgraded to the free plan. You can still enjoy all the benefits available in the free plan.

Are there any charges during the trial?

No, you won’t be charged during the trial period.

What happens to unused AI Credits after the trial?

Any unused AI Credits will remain available until the start of your next billing cycle after the trial ends.

Can I adjust my plan during the trial?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your selected plan during the trial by visiting Settings > Billing. Changes will take effect at the end of the trial.
