Capture every word from your meetings with unlimited free transcripts — no upgrades, limits, or extra setup. Once enabled, Fireflies automatically joins your meetings and creates complete transcripts across your calendar events, shared bot sessions, Google Meet (via Chrome extension), and mobile app recordings.
This feature is exclusive to Free plan users. The Get unlimited transcripts toggle will not appear for paid plans.
🚀 Enable Unlimited Transcripts
Step 1: Log in to your Fireflies account. From your Home dashboard, click the Upcoming tab on the right side of the screen to view your upcoming meetings and open the Fireflies Notetaker card.
Step 2: Turn on the Get unlimited transcripts (Free) toggle. This unlocks unlimited transcription on the free plan only when Auto-join and Share-all are enabled.
Once the toggle is on, Fireflies will automatically join your meetings and create full transcripts without any limits.

Once enabled, Unlimited Transcripts work automatically across all Fireflies meeting types — so you can capture every word, whether it’s a virtual call, shared bot meeting, or in-person conversation.
1. Google Meet
Want to capture every word from your Google Meet calls without worrying about limits?
With the Fireflies Chrome extension, you get unlimited free transcripts — no setup or extra steps needed. Just install the extension, sign in with your Google account, and Fireflies will automatically record and transcribe every meeting for you.
2. Record In-Person or Live Conversations (Mobile App)
Want to capture in-person or offline conversations too?
Use the Fireflies mobile app on iOS or Android to record and transcribe meetings anywhere — your transcripts are unlimited and free.
Just open the app, tap + Transcribe, and select Record Audio to start.
3. Shared Bot Meetings
Want Fireflies to capture meetings hosted by your teammates, too?
The shared Fireflies bot automatically joins and transcribes meetings organized by anyone in your workspace — not just your own calendar events.
Once the meeting ends, the recording and transcript are available for everyone on the invite.

With Unlimited Transcripts, you can record and access the full text of your meetings — completely free and without limits.
However, AI-powered features such as Smart Summaries, Meeting Recaps, Action Items, and Analytics still depend on your plan’s AI credit balance. These advanced insights are included in paid tiers.
Think of Unlimited Transcripts as your full raw text, searchable meeting history, while AI features help you quickly summarize and extract insights from those transcripts.

Why didn’t Fireflies join my shared bot meeting?
Ensure the shared bot is enabled under your workspace settings and that Auto-Join is turned on for your calendar events.
Why isn’t my mobile app recording or transcribing?
Check that you selected Record Audio under + Transcribe, and you have a stable internet connection when uploading. The transcript will appear once processing completes in your Fireflies workspace.
How can I verify that Unlimited Transcripts is active?
After enabling the toggle, your Fireflies dashboard will display Unlimited credits for transcription, confirming that the feature is active.
Are AI summaries included in Unlimited Transcripts?
No. Unlimited Transcripts gives you complete, raw text for all meetings. AI-powered features like summaries, action items, and analytics depend on your AI credit balance, which varies by plan.
