Learn about the Super Admin role

Last updated: March 17, 2026

Understand the Super Admin role and how it differs from regular Admin permissions. Super Admin provides unrestricted access to all workspace meetings, including private ones, while maintaining the same team management capabilities as standard Admins.

What is Super Admin?

The Super Admin role is an Enterprise-exclusive role that bypasses all meeting privacy restrictions within a Fireflies workspace. While regular Admins respect privacy settings like "Only Me" meetings, Super Admins can access and manage every meeting regardless of privacy controls.

Key distinction: Super Admin is about meeting access scope and management capabilities, not additional control capabilities

What Super Admin can do

Super Admin capabilities focus on unrestricted workspace access and management:

Meeting access bypass

  • Access all meetings including those marked "Only Me"

  • View private meetings from any team member

  • No restrictions based on privacy settings

Meeting management capabilities

  • Move any meeting to different channels - Super Admins can move meetings to channels regardless of the original privacy settings or ownership

  • Organize and restructure meeting content across the workspace

  • Manage meeting distribution without owner restrictions

  • Update any meeting details - Super Admins can edit meeting information, titles, transcripts, and other details for any meeting in the workspace, regardless of privacy settings or ownership

API and automation scope

  • API access to all meetings in the workspace

  • AI Skills can run on any meeting regardless of privacy

  • Rules Engine applies to all meetings in workspace

Webhook capabilities

What are webhooks? Webhooks are real-time notifications you can set up by providing a URL to your own server. Fireflies sends instant updates about events like when a transcription is completed, including the meeting ID for automations.

Super Admin webhook advantage:

  • Regular webhooks only trigger for meetings that you own

  • Super Admin webhooks trigger for all meetings by users in your workspace

  • Get real-time notifications for every meeting across the entire organization

  • Perfect for enterprise-wide automation and monitoring

  • Enterprise-only feature that requires legal agreement due to extensive access

  • Webhook scope extends to all users when using Super Admin access (vs. your meetings only)

  • API and automation scope extends to all meetings when using Super Admin access

  • Meeting management extends to all meetings - Super Admins can move any meeting regardless of privacy settings

  • Cannot self-manage - requires Fireflies team for role assignment and removal
