Learn about the Super Admin role
Last updated: March 17, 2026
Understand the Super Admin role and how it differs from regular Admin permissions. Super Admin provides unrestricted access to all workspace meetings, including private ones, while maintaining the same team management capabilities as standard Admins.
What is Super Admin?
The Super Admin role is an Enterprise-exclusive role that bypasses all meeting privacy restrictions within a Fireflies workspace. While regular Admins respect privacy settings like "Only Me" meetings, Super Admins can access and manage every meeting regardless of privacy controls.
Key distinction: Super Admin is about meeting access scope and management capabilities, not additional control capabilities
Super Admin vs Admin: the real difference
The main difference between Super Admin and Admin is meeting access scope, not team management capabilities:
Capability | Super Admin | Admin | Member |
Meeting access | All meetings (bypasses privacy) | Shared meetings only | Shared meetings only |
Meeting management | Can move any meeting to channels | Can move accessible meetings only | Can move own meetings only |
Meeting updates | Can edit any meeting details | Can edit accessible meetings only | Can edit own meetings only |
Team settings | Full control | Full control | No control |
User management | Full control | Full control | No control |

API access | All meetings in workspace | Accessible meetings only | Accessible meetings only |
Webhook scope | All users in workspace | Your meetings only | Your meetings only |
