Fireflies allows you to create short, impactful audio and video clips or Soundbites from your meetings and multimedia files. You can create it manually or automatically.
In this article, we’ll explain how to automatically create Soundbites from your meeting transcripts.
Creating automatic sound bites consumes AI credits. You'd need to purchase the AI credits as an add-on with your paid plan.

You can create automatically create sound bites in two ways:
Open the meeting from which you want to create sound bites. Click Soundbite and choose one of the two options.

How to automatically create Soundbites: Magic Soundbites
- Open the meeting and click Soundbite.
- Click the Create button located next to Magic Soundbites.
- Click Generate.
- Fireflies will automatically surface key moments from your transcript. This process may take time, depending on the length of the transcript.
- Once complete, Fireflies will list all the sound bites. To save all, click Save All.
- You can also save or edit individual sound bites by hovering over it and clicking Save or the pencil icon.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the title, access, and the start and end time of the sound bite. Here, you can also add it to an existing playlist.

- Once done, click Save.
- Click the Soundbite icon on the side navigation bar to view the sound bites.
- Click the Automate button for Magic Soundbites to allow Fireflies to automatically generate sound bites for you after every meeting,
How to automatically create Soundbites: Keyword Soundbites
- Click the Create button located next to Keyword Soundbites.
- Enter the keywords or phrases you want to be included in the sound bites.
- Separate different keywords or phrases using commas. Click Generate.
- Click Save All to save all the sound bites.
- You can also save or edit individual sound bites by hovering over that sound bite and clicking Save or the pencil icon.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the title, access, and sound bite's start and end time. Here, you can also add it to an existing playlist.
- Once done, click Save.
- Click the Soundbite icon on the side navigation bar to view the sound bites.
