If you no longer want Fireflies to automatically join your meetings, you can turn off the auto-join feature in just a few clicks. This guide walks you through the exact steps, so you stay in control of when the assistant, Fred joins.

1. Go to your Settings page on the dashboard

• Click Settings and under the Meetings Settings tab, scroll down to locate Auto-join settings

• Toggle Auto-join calendar events to the Off position to disable Fireflies from joining all your meetings (By default, this will be switched ON). Fireflies saves your settings automatically - no need to click save

This stops Fireflies from automatically joining any future meetings scheduled on your connected calendar.

2. Alternatively, disable Fireflies Auto-join from the dashboard

• Head to Auto-join Calender Meetings Setting on the right

• By Default, this setting will be set to All meetings with web-conf link.

• Change this to Only when I invite fred@fireflies.ai. This gives you absolute control to manually select each meeting for Fireflies to join by inviting fred@fireflies.ai

💡 TL;DR – Two ways to keep Fred out unless you say otherwise:

• ❌ Toggle OFF auto-join to stop all automatic joining

• ✅ Switch to manual mode to invite Fred only when needed
