This article explains how to record, transcribe, and summarize a GoToMeeting using Fireflies.
Prerequisites
- Enable Fireflies auto-join settings to All meetings with web-conf link.
- Once done, Fireflies will auto-join all meetings with invite links marked on the Google or Outlook Calendar connected to your Fireflies account.
- You can create a calendar event with the GoToMeeting link so Fireflies can auto-join the meeting.

- If the event is not marked in your calendar or auto-join settings is disabled, you can manually add Fireflies to the meeting via the Add to live meeting module.
Add a GoToMeeting event to your Google or Outlook Calendar
There are two ways to add a GoToMeeting link to your calendar.
1. Create a calendar event from GoToMeeting
- Log in to your GoTo account.
- Click Create to add a new meeting on GoTo.
- Click the Calendar icon from your meeting window.
- Choose the calendar you use—Outlook or Google. This will redirect you to your calendar. In this guide, we’ll select Google Calendar.
- Make any desired changes to your invite and click Save.
- Fireflies will now automatically join your meeting.
- The meeting will now be visible on Fireflies under the Upcoming Meetings module on the homepage.

2. Invite Fireflies to a live GoToMeeting
If you have not set up auto-join settings for Fireflies but want to record an upcoming or on-going meeting, you can use the Add to live meeting module.
- Go to the Fireflies web app and click Add to live meeting.
- Enter your GoToMeeting link.
- Click Start Capturing. Fred, the Fireflies bot, will now join and record the meeting.
- To view your meeting recordings and transcripts, go to My Meetings channel.
