How to cancel your Fireflies subscription

If you need to pause or stop your premium features, cancelling your paid Fireflies subscription is a straightforward process.

Before you cancel, please note that cancelling does not delete your account. It simply schedules your workspace to downgrade to our Free tier at the end of your current billing cycle.

🔑 What Happens When You Cancel?

  • Access Continues: You will retain full access to all your paid features (like video recording or unlimited integrations) until the very last day of your current paid billing period.

  • Keep Your Data: Your existing meetings, transcripts, and recordings will remain safe in your Fireflies Notebook. However, once the cycle ends, your access to them will be governed by the limits of the Free tier.

  • No Immediate Changes: Cancelling simply stops the auto-renewal. You won't notice any changes to your account until the new billing cycle begins.

🔍 Troubleshooting / FAQs

  • When does the downgrade to the Free plan happen? Your account will automatically transition to the Free tier the day after your current billing cycle ends. You will not be charged again.

  • Will I lose my past meetings? No, cancelling does not delete your past data. Your data remains in your Notebook, though you will lose access to premium search filters or custom retention rules once the Free tier kicks in.

  • Can I just downgrade to a cheaper plan instead? Absolutely! If you don't want to lose all your premium features, you can downgrade instead of cancelling. For example, Enterprise users can step down to Business or Pro.

  • Can I come back later? Yes! Should your needs change in the future, you can easily resubscribe to any paid plan directly from your Billing settings.

Recap: Cancelling turns off your auto-renewal and schedules your account to revert to the Free tier at the end of your billing cycle. Your data remains safe during the transition.
