How to export your Fireflies account data

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to export all your Fireflies account data. This process ensures compliance with GDPR and provides you with all the necessary information stored in your account.

How to request your data?

To request your data:

  • Visit our data request form from your browser.

  • Complete the form with the necessary details.

  • Submit your request.

Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email — you will need to approve the request before processing begins.

How will you receive your data?

Once our team has processed your data, you will receive it within 24 to 48 hours. Here's how it works:

  • You will receive a download link from Fireflies via email.

  • This link will allow you to download the zipped file containing all your account's data.

Note: The download link is only valid for 7 days. Ensure you download your data within this time. If you miss this window, you will need to submit a new request.

What data will you receive?

When you request your data from Fireflies, you will receive the following:

  • All of your meetings and file recordings:

    • Audio (MP3 format)

    • Video (MP4 format), if available

  • Transcripts: Text versions of your meetings (TXT format) along with speaker identification.

  • Summaries: AI summaries of your meetings (TXT format)

  • Attendee information: Details about meeting participants

Additionally, all associated metadata will be provided in JSON format.

Frequently asked questions

Q1. I submitted the form but haven't received my data. What should I do?

After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email with the subject line "Action Required – Confirm Your Data Export Request." Your data will not be processed until you approve this email. If you cannot find it, please check your spam or junk folder.

Q2. I can't find the confirmation email.

The confirmation email is sent from fred@fireflies.ai with the subject "Action Required – Confirm Your Data Export Request." If you cannot find it in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there either, contact our support team and we can look into resending it.

Q3. My download link has expired. What now?

The download link is valid for 7 days from when it is sent. If the link has expired, you will need to submit a new data export request.
