How to change the name of the Fireflies Notetaker bot

Want Fireflies to join meetings with a personalized name? This guide will show you how to request a custom bot name if you’re on a paid plan.

To get started with a unique bot name, follow these easy steps:

Check your plan: Custom bot names are available for Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans
Know the cost:
- Individual: $5/month or $60/year (non-refundable)
- Teams (Same Name): $5/month for up to 5 users. $5 extra per user for more.
- Teams (Different Names): $5/month or $60/year for each unique name.
  
  Enterprise plan: Free custom bot name for all users
Pick your name: Choose a unique and recognizable name—up to 30 characters.
Activate the add-on: Visit the Custom Bot Name upgrade page in Fireflies settings to add it to your subscription and specify your desired name

Confirmation: Our team will confirm the name and activate it for your account. Your new bot name should show up in meetings within a few hours

Where it shows up: Your custom bot name will appear in meetings only when you host or invite Fireflies. If someone else invites, you’ll see their default bot name instead
Consistency: Make sure you pick the name you want. It’ll show up as entered, with no option to change it later
