How to Integrate Telegram with Fireflies

Last updated: March 11, 2026

If you use Telegram to stay connected with your team and stay on top of conversations, integrating it with Fireflies helps bring your meeting insights directly into the same space. After each meeting, Fireflies can send your notes and summaries to Telegram so you can quickly review discussions, track follow-ups, and stay updated without switching between tools.

The Telegram integration is available across all Fireflies plans, so anyone can start receiving meeting insights directly in Telegram.

Letโ€™s get started ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿ” What does this integration do?

Once configured, Fireflies sends your meeting notes and summaries directly to Telegram through the Fireflies bot.

Hereโ€™s what you can expect:

  • Automatic delivery of meeting summaries after each meeting

  • AI-generated notes and key insights sent to Telegram

  • A link to the full transcript and recap for deeper review

  • Optional meeting rules to control which meetings send notes to Telegram

๐Ÿ”‘ Prerequisites

Before connecting Telegram with Fireflies, make sure you have:

  • An active Fireflies account with integration access

  • A Telegram account installed on your phone or desktop

  • Access to Telegram to add and authorize the Fireflies bot

Once these are ready, you can set up the Telegram integration in just a few steps.

๐Ÿ”— Connect Telegram to Fireflies

Step 1: Log in to your Fireflies account, Navigate to the Integrations page, and search for Telegram. Click on it to get started.

Step 6: Send a Sample Note

Before finishing your setup, you can send a sample note to Telegram to make sure everything is working correctly.

This test wonโ€™t affect any real meetings โ€” it simply verifies that your Telegram delivery is working properly.

๐Ÿงฉ Additional Options โ€“ Integration Rules

By default, Fireflies sends meeting notes to Telegram after every meeting. While this keeps you updated, you may not always want every meeting included.

Integration Rules help control which meetings send notes to Telegram, so only relevant meetings are delivered.

Integration Rules are available on Business or higher plans.

๐Ÿ—‚ All Meetings

Send summaries/notes from every meeting โ€” client calls, internal syncs, interviews, standups, and more โ€” directly to Telegram.

This is the default option and requires no filters.

๐Ÿ“ Meeting Title

Send Telegram summaries/notes only when the meeting title matches specific rules (Contains, Starts With, Equals, Doesnโ€™t Contain).

Example Only send summaries for meetings titled Client Review or Weekly Planning.

Add multiple keywords using commas (e.g., Interview, Review, Demo).

๐Ÿ‘ค Meeting Host

Filter summaries by who hosted the meeting.

  • Equals โ†’ Only send summaries from meetings hosted by john@example.com.

  • Not Equal โ†’ Send summaries from all meetings except those hosted by john@example.com.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Meeting Participants

Choose which meetings send summaries based on who attended.

๐ŸŽฆ Meeting Type

Send summaries only from specific meeting categories.

Example: Equals โ†’ External โ†’ Only send summaries for client-facing meetings.

๐Ÿ”€ Apply Multiple Filters

Combine rules for precise control over which summaries get delivered to Telegram.

  • Example Meeting title contains Interview AND host is john@example.com.

  • You can use AND (all conditions must match) or OR (any one condition matches).

You can see all the filters applied to your Telegram configuration. Fireflies will only send summaries to Telegram for meetings that match every rule youโ€™ve set.

โœ… Example applied: Title contains "Interview", host = "John", participant = "Mary", type = "External".

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Team Options

Sometimes, you may not want every teammate creating their own Telegram configurations โ€” especially if your team wants meeting summaries delivered in a consistent way. Team Options allow workspace admins to control whether the integration applies only to them or across the entire workspace.

1. Click the vertical ellipsis (โ‹ฎ) next to your Telegram integration and select Team Options from the dropdown list.

2. A modal window will appear with these options:

  • Apply to entire workspace โ†’ Toggle this ON to apply the integration across your Fireflies workspace. Meeting summaries from team meetings accessible by the admin will be sent to Telegram, keeping updates centralized.

๐Ÿ“Œ Meetings set to private in a teammateโ€™s Privacy Settings wonโ€™t be included unless youโ€™re a Super Admin who can access meetings regardless of team privacy settings.

  • Restrict non-admin usage โ†’ Toggle this ON to prevent non-admin members from creating their own Telegram integration configurations.

3. After adjusting the toggles to fit your teamโ€™s workflow, click Save to apply the changes.

Use workspace-level settings when your team wants shared meeting updates in Telegram, and personal configurations when individuals prefer receiving their own meeting summaries.

๐Ÿ›  Manage Configuration

Over time, you may need to update your Telegram integration โ€” whether itโ€™s to rename a configuration, update meeting rules, or remove configurations you no longer use. Fireflies makes this easy with a few quick options:

  • โœ Edit Configuration Name โ†’ Give Telegram configuration a clear, descriptive name so itโ€™s easy to recognize. Click the configuration name (for example, Default Configuration), type a new name (such as Telegram Meeting Summaries), and click outside the field to save.

    Recorded_screen_1_V1 - 2026-03-11T130820.080.gif
  • โš™ Edit Configuration Settings โ†’ Need to update your meeting rules or configuration settings? Click the vertical ellipsis (โ‹ฎ) next to a configuration, select Edit, update the meeting rules or filters, and click Update to save your changes.

  • ๐Ÿ”˜ Enable or Disable a Configuration โ†’ Use the toggle next to a configuration to control it quickly. Toggle ON to send meeting notes to Telegram; toggle OFF to pause the integration without deleting it.

    Recorded_screen_1_V1 - 2026-03-11T131412.834.gif
  • ๐Ÿ—‘ Delete Configuration โ†’ If a configuration is no longer needed (for example, you no longer want meeting summaries sent to Telegram), you can delete it. Click the vertical ellipsis (โ‹ฎ) next to the configuration, select Delete, and confirm.
