How to Integrate Confluence with Fireflies

Last updated: December 31, 2025

The Confluence + Fireflies integration automatically sends your meeting transcripts, recordings, and summaries to your Confluence workspace, keeping every discussion documented and accessible without manual copy-pasting.

Let’s get started 🚀

🔍 What Does the Confluence Integration Do?

Once connected, Fireflies publishes your meeting notes directly to the Confluence Space you choose.

It helps you:

  • Auto-publish notes: Meeting summaries and transcripts appear in Confluence right after each call.

  • Keep teams updated: Everyone can view the latest meeting outcomes in one place.

  • Save time: No more switching tabs or uploading files manually.

Fireflies creates a new page for each meeting inside your selected Confluence Space, complete with the title, participants, duration, and full summary.

🔑 Prerequisites

Before connecting Confluence with Fireflies, make sure you have everything ready:

  • Confluence Account: Active Atlassian account with permission to create or edit pages in your Space.

  • Fireflies account → Log in to your Fireflies workspace, where you’ll manage the integration.

  • Space Access: Make sure you’ve created a Confluence Space and have permission to view and publish content in it before connecting Fireflies.

  • Admin Rights (for teams): Needed if you’re setting up the integration for your workspace.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re ready to connect Fireflies with Confluence!

🔗 Connect Confluence to Fireflies

Step 1: Log in to your Fireflies account, click on the Integrations tab, and search for Confluence. Click on it to get started.

Setting Up Your Configuration

Step 1: Select Your Space

Choose the Confluence Space where Fireflies will create meeting pages — open the dropdown and pick one (for example, Fireflies Notes, HR Interview, or Technical Writer).

If you don’t see the right Space, you’ll need to create one first in your Confluence account — for example, Fireflies Notes.

Step 2: Create a Sample Page in Confluence

Before going live, test your setup to ensure everything’s working correctly. Fireflies lets you do this in one click.

  • Click “Create Sample Page” → Fireflies will instantly create a sample page in the Confluence Space you selected.

  • Open Confluence to confirm the page appears in the right Space.

Once verified, click Continue to move forward.

This test won’t affect your real meetings — it simply confirms that Fireflies can publish pages to your chosen Space.

🧩Additional Options - Integration Rules

By default, Fireflies sends notes and summaries from every meeting to Confluence. While this ensures nothing gets missed, it can also clutter your Space with pages you don’t always need. Integration Rules let you filter which meetings create pages — so only the ones that matter are published to Confluence.

Integration Rules are available on Business or higher plans.

🗂 All Meetings

Publish notes from every meeting — client calls, team syncs, or check-ins — with no filters applied.

📝 Meeting Title

Only create Confluence pages if the meeting title matches the rules you set (Contains, Starts with, Equals, Doesn’t Contain). Example: Only publish pages for meetings titled “Client Review” or “Interview.”

Add multiple keywords separated by commas (e.g., Interview, Client Review, Demo).

👤 Meeting Host

Filter pages by the meeting’s host.

  • Equals → Only create pages for meetings hosted by john@example.com.

  • Not Equal → Create pages for all meetings except those hosted by John.

👥 Meeting Participants

Filter pages based on who attended.

🎦 Meeting Type

Filter by meeting type.

  • Example: Equals External → Only external meetings will be published to Confluence.

🔀 Apply Multiple Filters

Combine filters for precision.

  • Example: Title contains “Interview” AND host is john@example.com.

  • Rules can use AND (all conditions must match) or OR (any condition matches).

You can view all the filters currently applied to your configuration. In this example, pages will only be created in Confluence for meetings that match all of these criteria:

Example applied: Title contains Interview, host = John, participant = Mary, type = External.

💾 Save Your Configuration

Click Save to activate the integration — a flash message will confirm that your configuration has been successfully added.

You can set up multiple configurations — for example, one for internal meetings and another for client calls.

👥 Team Options

Sometimes you don’t want every teammate creating their own Confluence configurations — especially if you need control over where meeting pages are published or want to limit access for compliance. That’s where Integration Scope comes in. It allows workspace admins to decide whether the integration applies just to them or across the entire team.

  1. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to your Confluence integration and select Team Options from the dropdown list.

  2. A modal window will appear with these options:

  • Apply to entire workspace → Toggle this ON to apply the integration across your Fireflies workspace. All team meetings accessible to the team admin will be published in Confluence, keeping things centralized and consistent.

📌 Meetings that are set to private in a teammate’s Privacy Settings won’t be pushed to Confluence unless you’re a Super Admin who can access meetings irrespective of team privacy settings.

  • Restrict non-admin usage → Toggle this ON to prevent non-admin members from creating their own Confluence configurations. This is useful when you want tighter control over where pages are created and shared.

  1. After adjusting the toggles to match your workflow, click Save to apply the changes.

Use workspace-level settings for sensitive meetings (e.g., HR interviews) to keep access restricted. Choose personal configurations when teammates need flexibility to manage their own Confluence pages.

🛠 Manage Configuration

Over time, you may need to update your Confluence integration — maybe to rename a configuration, change the Space where pages are created, or remove ones you no longer use. Fireflies makes this easy with a few quick options:

  • Edit Configuration Name → Give each Confluence configuration a clear, descriptive name so it’s easy to identify (especially useful if you’ve connected multiple Spaces). Just click the configuration name (e.g., Default Configuration), type the new name (e.g., Product Team Notes), and click outside the field to save.

Clear names are especially helpful when you’re managing more than one Confluence Space or configuration.

  • Edit Configuration Settings → Need to change where Fireflies publishes your pages? Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to a configuration, select Edit, choose a different Confluence Space, and click Update to save.

  • 🗑 Delete Configuration → If a configuration is no longer needed (for example, a project ends or your team moves to a different Confluence Space), you can safely delete it. Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to the configuration, select Delete, and confirm.

Deleting a configuration means Fireflies will no longer publish meeting pages to that Confluence Space, so make sure it’s no longer required before removing it.

Recorded_screen_1_V1 - 2025-10-10T153153.885 (1).gif
  • 🔘 Enable or Disable a Configuration → Use the toggle switch next to a configuration to quickly control it. Toggle ON to publish meeting pages (transcripts, recordings, summaries) to the selected Confluence Space; toggle OFF to pause without deleting.

This is useful if you’ve connected multiple Confluence Spaces (e.g., Client Notes and Internal Meetings) and only want one active at a time. Fireflies remembers your settings when you turn configurations back on.

📤 How Meeting Data Appears in Confluence

Once connected, Fireflies automatically sends your meeting transcripts, summaries, and recordings to your selected Confluence Space. Each meeting appears as a new page with the title, date, participants, and AI-generated notes — all linked back to the full transcript in Fireflies.

This keeps your workspace organized and makes it easy for your team to review past discussions anytime.

Disconnect Integration

If you no longer need Fireflies connected to Confluence — for example, when reorganizing Spaces or switching to a new documentation setup — you can disconnect it anytime with a single click.

Click the Disconnect button to remove the Confluence integration. This immediately ends the connection, and Fireflies will no longer publish meeting pages to Confluence.

Once disconnected, Fireflies will stop sending notes and summaries to Confluence. You can always reconnect later if needed.
