The Fireflies X OpenPhone integration enables users to:
- Automatically transcribe inbound and outbound calls recorded on OpenPhone.
- Generate detailed notes, summaries, and action items from call conversations.
- Sync call transcripts and summaries directly into the Fireflies Notepad.
It is ideal for OpenPhone customers who need an efficient way to capture and organize their call data.
How to integrate Fireflies with OpenPhone
1. Log in to Fireflies and go to Integrations.
2. Search for OpenPhone and click it.
3. Click Connect.
4. Enter the OpenPhone API key
To find the API key,
- Log in to your OpenPhone console.
- Navigate to Settings > API and copy the key.
5. Paste the API key in Fireflies and click Authorize.
6. Next, click on the dropdown under Phone Numbers.
7. Select the phone numbers. Fireflies will display a list of phone numbers associated with your OpenPhone account. You can multi-select the numbers you want to sync with Fireflies.
8. Click Continue.
9. Click Complete to finish the integration process.

How to use the Fireflies-OpenPhone integration
For Fireflies to transcribe the call, users need to record the call on OpenPhone. Once recording is enabled and the integration is active, Fireflies will automatically transcribe and analyze inbound and outbound calls made using your selected OpenPhone numbers. Here’s how it works:
- Fireflies identifies the caller, captures the conversation, and creates a transcript with summaries and action items for each call.
- Transcribed calls will be available in the Fireflies Notepad, where users can view detailed notes, action items, keywords, and call summaries.
How to disable the Fireflies-OpenPhone integration
- Click Disable in the top right corner to temporarily stop syncing OpenPhone data with Fireflies.
- Notice the configuration status changes to disabled.
- To re-enable the integration, click Enable.
- To completely remove the integration, click Disconnect.
Note: Disconnecting will require you to follow the setup steps again if you choose to reconnect later.
