AskFred: Ask Fred questions from your meetings in Fireflies and get answers

Fireflies AskFred allows you to leverage the power of AI right inside your meetings. It can answer all your meeting-related questions, extract important information from your meetings, and generate content like follow-up emails, tweets, social media posts, and more.

• AskFred allows users to ask questions about their meetings and get answers. Think of it like ChatGPT but for your meetings.
  
  
• You can use AskFred to perform these actions:
  
  
  1. Meeting questions: You can ask questions about what was discussed in the meeting, concerns brought up, timestamps where specific topics were spoken about, and more. Just make sure to follow these guidelines to get the best answers.
  2. Meeting actions: Generate follow-up emails, tweets, or even blog post drafts based on the meeting discussion.
  3. General: You can ask any general questions unrelated to the meeting, similar to ChatGPT.

How do I access AskFred? 

Note: AskFred is only available on paid plans (Pro and above). 

Here’s how you can access AskFred:

• Go to the Fireflies web app and click Meetings.

• Open your desired meeting.

• Click the AskFred icon to open the chatbot.

• Choose your AI model. Each model uses AI credits, which are purchased separately. 

• Basic (1 credit), Advanced (3 credits), Advanced Large (5 credits). Advanced AI models generate better results.

• Type in your question in the chat box and press enter.

• Once Fred responds to your question, you can mark it with a thumbs up or thumbs down based on the quality of the response. This feedback will help us improve AskFred responses and make it even better.

• Click on Try again to re-generate a new response if you are unsatisfied with the original answer.

How to automate AskFred prompts?

• AskFred allows you to automate questions and prompts you frequently ask after your meetings. 
• This means that every time a meeting concludes, Fred will automatically run the prompt and provide the answer as soon as you open the meeting transcript. 

Here’s how you can automate AskFred prompts:

• Input a prompt.
• Click Automate. This will create a new AskFred App under AI Apps.

• Give it a name and add a description (optional). By default, the name is Untitled App.

• Click Save. 

Note: Each time an AskFred app runs, it consumes 1 AI credit.

How to disable, edit, or delete an automated AskFred app?

• Go to Apps from the navigation menu on the right.

• Locate your app under AI Apps. You’ll see the AskFred App tag right next to it.

• Toggle it to disable/enable it.

• To edit, click Configure.

• Edit your question and click Save.

• To delete, click the three-dot menu.

• Click Delete app.

What are AI Credits?

To use AskFred to ask questions or generate content, you must purchase an AI Credits package. These monthly packages offer a set number of AI Credits per month, which can be used on AskFred and other AI features.

If you exhaust your AI credits before your monthly billing cycle, you will be automatically upgraded to the next AI Credits package.

Each question, content generation, or prompt in AskFred deducts a certain number of AI Credits depending on your chosen AI model.
