Connect Fireflies to Lovable

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Building an app often starts with ideas discussed in customer calls, planning meetings, and product reviews. Instead of searching through past meeting notes, connect Fireflies to Lovable so you can use your meeting transcripts, summaries, and key decisions as context while building your application.

With Lovable + Fireflies, you can:

  • πŸ’¬ Ask Lovable about past meetings using natural language.

  • πŸ’‘ Turn meeting discussions into app requirements, features, and user flows.

  • πŸš€ Generate apps and prototypes using real meeting context.

  • πŸ“„ Reference meeting transcripts and summaries without leaving Lovable.

The connection uses Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that securely connects Fireflies with Lovable. No developer experience is required - simply follow the steps below to get connected.

Want to learn more about MCP? You don't need to understand it to complete this setup. If you're curious, check out the Fireflies MCP Server documentation for a deeper overview and advanced capabilities.

✨ Use Fireflies Meeting Context in Lovable

Once connected, you can use your Fireflies meetings as context when prompting Lovable. For example, you can ask Lovable to:

  • Build an app from a product planning meeting.

  • Create a presentation from a strategy meeting.

  • Generate feature requirements from customer feedback.

  • Turn meeting discussions into working apps and prototypes.

Lovable automatically uses the relevant Fireflies meeting context to generate more accurate results.

πŸ” Data Retention & Compliance

Fireflies maintains a strict Zero-Day Retention (ZDR) policy with all subprocessors used for core features such as summaries, AskFred, and transcription.

However, when you connect Fireflies through third-party MCP connectors, data exchanged through those platforms is processed under their respective terms of service.

  • Zero-Day Retention does not apply to data processed, stored, or transmitted by external platforms through MCP.

  • Fireflies cannot guarantee deletion, storage duration, or whether data is used for model training once it leaves the Fireflies environment.

  • Lovable manages its own data retention and AI usage policies.

Recommendation: Use MCP connectors only if your organization's data policy allows external AI processing. For stricter compliance, continue using Fireflies' built-in features or API integrations that retain ZDR coverage.

πŸ” Security & Permissions

  • Authenticate securely using your Fireflies account through OAuth.

  • The connector can access only the meeting data available to your Fireflies account.

  • Data is transferred securely using Fireflies' standard security measures.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is this a replacement for the Fireflies app?

No. The MCP connector simply gives Lovable access to your Fireflies meeting context. The Fireflies app continues to provide transcription, meeting management, analytics, collaboration, and other features.

No. ZDR applies only to processing within Fireflies. Once meeting data is shared with Lovable through MCP, it is handled according to Lovable's policies.

3. Can I use this for my whole team?

Each user connects their own Fireflies account. Availability and sharing of chat connectors depend on your Lovable workspace settings.

4. Do I need an API key?

No. This connector uses OAuth, so no API key or manual configuration is required.

5. Can I search meetings by topic, date, or speaker?

Yes. Include topics, dates, speakers, or other meeting details in your prompt, and Lovable can use your Fireflies meeting data as context for its responses.
