Upload unprocessed files in the mobile app

Turn your offline recordings into searchable transcripts. When you record audio offline with the Fireflies app, it saves locally as an "unprocessed file" until you're back online and ready to upload for transcription.

When you'll have unprocessed files
Unprocessed files are created when you:
Record audio while offline or with poor internet connection
Record important conversations that couldn't be uploaded immediately
Want to review recordings before uploading for transcription
Need to capture audio in areas with limited connectivity
These recordings stay safely stored on your device until you're ready to process them
Upload your unprocessed recordings
Open the Fireflies app and tap your profile icon

Select Local Recordings to view your unprocessed files

Connect to the internet if you're not already online and tap Upload next to the recording you want to process

Configure your upload settings
Name your file for easy identification
Set the transcription language
Tap Upload

Track upload progress by tapping View Status
Monitor processing status in real-time
Also accessible under Meeting Status in the main menu

Access your transcript once status shows Completed
The recording appears in your Notebook within a few minutes
Tap the file to view transcript and AI summaries

Making sense of it all
Unprocessed files are safely stored locally until you're ready to upload them

Processing takes a few minutes depending on recording length
