How to Remove Fireflies from a Meeting

In this article, let's see the different ways to kick Fireflies out of a meeting that you don't want it to be part of. Here's what we will cover in this article.

What happens when you remove Fireflies from a meeting? 

• Fireflies stop recording from that point of the meeting and will exit
• It will process the transcription for the duration of the meeting it was part of
• You'll get that portion of your meeting recorded and transcribed in your Notebook
• Once you kick out Fireflies.ai Notetaker, you may continue talking to the rest of the participants in private.

How to remove Fireflies from a Zoom meeting (as a host)

1. Go to the list of participants.
2. Look for Fireflies.ai Notetaker and mouse over it.
3. Click More, and then click Remove.
4. A prompt will ask you to confirm. Click Remove once again.

How to remove Fireflies from a GMeet meeting (as a host)

1. Go to the list of participants.
2. Look for Fireflies.ai Notetaker, and then click the Remove from meeting icon.
3. A prompt will ask you to confirm. Click Remove once again.

How to remove Fireflies from a Microsoft Teams meeting (as a host)

You can also remove Fireflies from an online meeting scheduled in Outlook and running in Skype or Teams when the meeting is in progress

1. In the meeting window, click the Participants icon to see all of the attendees.

   

2. Right-click on the Fireflies notetaker.ai bot

3. In the drop-down menu, choose Remove to kick Fireflies out of the meeting.

How to remove Fireflies from any meetings (as a host/participant)

Be it a meeting on Zoom, Gmeet or Teams, you can remove Fireflies from your Live meetings whether you're a host or a participant. Here are the steps to end the meeting from your Fireflies dashboard: 

1. Go to Fireflies dashboard
2. Look for your live meeting
3. Click on the End meeting button to remove Fireflies from the meeting

You can alternatively end the Live meeting from your meeting status section. Here are the steps:

1. Go to the Fireflies meeting status screen.
2. If your meeting is still running, it would have Active status in front of it.
3. Click the End meeting button to remove Fireflies from the meeting.
