There are two ways to invite Fireflies to a Skype meeting. In this guide, we’ll explain them in detail.

Method 1: Invite Fireflies from your calendar
- Open Skype, click Calls, and then Meet Now.
- From the dropdown menu, select Host a meeting.
- Copy meeting URL.
- Next, open your Google or Outlook calendar. Here, we have used Google Calendar. Schedule a meeting.
- Add the Skype meeting link in the location or somewhere in the description, and in the Add guests text box, add Fred@fireflies.ai.
- Fireflies will join your call as a meeting participant.

You can also configure your auto-join settings so Fireflies can detect the Skype URL and automatically join your meetings. To do that, go to your Fireflies dashboard, toggle the Auto join calendar meetings on, and choose All meetings with web-conf link.

Method 2: Add Fireflies to a live meeting
- If you want to capture an ongoing meeting, you can use the Add to Live meeting option.
- Copy the meeting link.
- Go to Fireflies dashboard and click Add to live meeting.
- Enter the meeting link and click Start Capturing.
- Fireflies will join the meeting in a few minutes and take notes as a participant.
