Fireflies requires you to sign up with your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar. It is able to join your meetings by following the invites you create through your calendar. As fred@fireflies.ai, it joins meetings just like any participant.
You will not be able to finish setting up your account unless you have signed up with either calendar. You can always configure which meetings Fireflies joins by going to your Settings.
