This article explains how Fireflies will work if your meeting runs over the scheduled time.
How long can Fireflies stay in a meeting?
For meetings where the Fireflies bot is invited, the duration Fireflies can stay depends on your subscription plan:
- Free Plan: 2 hours
- Pro Plan: 2 hours
- Business Plan: 3 hours
- Enterprise Plan: 4 hours
What if your meetings run over the scheduled time?
- Once Fireflies reaches the time limit, it will leave the meeting automatically.
- If you need Fireflies to stay longer, invite Fireflies to the ongoing meeting again using the "Add to Live Meeting" feature. Here's how to do it:
- Open the Fireflies app.
- Click the Add To Live module on the top right side of your dashboard.
- Enter the meeting name, meeting link, and select the meeting language.
- Click Start capturing.
- The Fireflies bot will rejoin the meeting within a few seconds.
- The Meeting Host will receive a prompt seeking permission to admit Fireflies into the meeting
- Click Admit to allow Fireflies to record and transcribe the meeting.
In your Fireflies Notebook, you will see the meeting in two parts.
- Part 1: The first two hours, where Fireflies was initially invited.
- Part 2: The rest of the meeting after you added Fireflies using Add to live meeting.
