Introduction to AskFred
- AskFred is a ChatGPT-like AI meeting assistant by Fireflies.

- While reviewing a meeting transcript or recording, you can chat with AskFred to get answers to your meeting-related questions, extract important information from your meetings, and generate content like follow-up emails, tweets, or social media posts.
- If you have Fireflies Google Chrome extension installed, you can use AskFred during your live Google Meet meetings.

How to enable AskFred for live meetings on Fireflies Chrome Extension
- Open your Fireflies Chrome extension and click the Settings icon.
- Locate AskFred: AI-Powered Assistant
- Turn on the toggle against AskFred: AI-Powered Assistant.
AskFred will now be enabled for your live Google Meet meetings.
How to use AskFred during live Google Meet meetings
- Join your Google Meet meeting.
- Click on the Fireflies icon at the bottom.
- The floating Real-time pane will appear. This pane will have three tabs:
- Transcript: Shows the live transcript of the meeting.
- Bookmarks: Highlight the bookmarks and Soundbites made during the meeting.
- AskFred: Opens the chat window with AskFred.

- Click AskFred.
- The chat window will appear. Type your question or query in the textbox at the bottom.
- AskFred will respond with accurate information in seconds, based on the transcript of the ongoing meeting.
