There are two ways to invite Fireflies to a Zoom meeting. In this guide, we’ll explain them in detail.
Method #1: Invite Fireflies from your calendar
- Go to your Zoom app, click Schedule.
- Enter the meeting details, and select a calendar and click Save. For this example, we’ve selected a Google Calendar.

- This takes you to the Google Calendar. You will notice that the Zoom link is added to your Google Calendar. Now, add fred@fireflies.ai from the Add guests textbox.
- You can also configure your auto-join settings so Fireflies can detect the Zoom URL and automatically join your meetings. To do that, go to your Fireflies dashboard, toggle the Auto join calendar meetings ON, and choose All meetings with a web-conference link.
Method #2: Add Fireflies to a live meeting
- From the Zoom app, click Meetings and select Copy invite link.
- Go to your Fireflies dashboard and click Add to live meeting.
- Paste the Meeting link and click Start capturing.
How Fireflies joins the Zoom meeting
- If you’ve enabled the Zoom integration and invited Fireflies to the meeting, Fireflies will automatically join the Zoom meeting as a participant.
- The meeting participants will get the meeting recorded prompt.
- They will also get the Live recording notification and details.
