- When you upload a media file to Fireflies, it recognizes voices in them and marks speakers as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, Speaker 3, etc.
- You can manually edit and change these labels with speaker names to improve the accuracy of your meeting transcript and summary.

How to edit speaker labels
- Log into your Fireflies account.
- Click Meetings on the left-side navigation bar.
- Click and open the recording you want to update.
- The transcript appears on the right side of your screen.
- Click the speaker label you want to update.
- This will list all speaker labels and names in that transcript.
- Hover over the label you want to rename.
- Click Rename.
- Type in the new name and click the ✓ mark. This updates all the sections of the transcript with the new name.
- For example, if you update Speaker 1 as Sam, all places where it is marked as Speaker 1 in the transcript will be updated with Sam.
