- When you upload a media file to Fireflies, the platform automatically detects and identifies different voices, labeling them as Speaker 1, Speaker 2, Speaker 3, and so on.
- You can manually edit and change these labels with speaker names to improve the accuracy of your meeting transcript and summary.

How to edit speaker labels
- Log into your Fireflies account and upload the file.

- Click Meetings on the left-side navigation bar.
- Click and open the recording you want to update.
- The transcript appears on the right side of your screen.
- Click the speaker label you want to modify.
- Type the name and Fireflies will list all users in your workspace. You can add a new speaker or choose from the dropdown list.
- Hover over Add {name} as new speaker and select from the two options.
- If you select, Apply to current speaker, the name will be updated for that speaker only.
- If you select Apply to all “Speaker 1,” all places marked as Speaker 1 in the transcript will be updated.
