Here are some common troubleshooting steps when facing issues related to transcription language.
1.Retranscribe a meeting to a different language
Fireflies transcribes meetings in the language you specify in the meeting language settings.
However, currently, re-transcribing a meeting in a different language is not available directly through Fireflies. (This feature is coming soon!)
In the meantime, if you need a meeting re-transcribed, please reach out to our support team with the following information:
- Meeting ID: You can find the Meeting ID in the meeting recap link. For example, in the recap link: https://app.fireflies.ai/view/Fireside-Chat-Rowan-Nick::HKuj6fxYcD, the Meeting ID is HKuj6fxYcD.
- Target Language: Specify the language into which you want the meeting transcribed.
Once we receive these details, we'll handle the re-transcription for you.

2. Summaries were transcribed in a different language
This appears to be a technical error. You can fix this issue by reprocessing the summaries.
- Before you reprocess, verify the meeting language setting from the Fireflies dashboard.
- Ensure the meeting language is set correctly for the specific meeting.
- After confirming the language setting, reprocess the meeting summaries. Here’s how to do it.
By following these steps, you should be able to correct the language mismatch between your meeting summary and transcript.
3. Transcribe multiple languages in same meetings
Right now, Fireflies doesn't support multilingual meetings.
