You can deactivate a team member by navigating to the Teams section on the Fireflies dashboard and clicking the "Deactivate" button next to the team member's name.
This guide explains what happens when a teammate is deactivated from Fireflies.
What happens when a team member is deactivated?
Account level changes:
What happens to a deactivated team member's account?
- The deactivated user still appears in the admin's list of teammates, but their account is completely separate and independent.
Status and Permissions:
Can deactivated team members invite other teammates?
- Team members who have been deactivated can no longer invite colleagues to join the administrator's paid team plan.
Meetings and Recordings:
Will a deactivated team member still be able to log in?
- Yes. When a teammate is deactivated, their account becomes separate from the admin's and reverts back to an individual account status. This allows them to continue logging into their Fireflies account as normal.
Can deactivated team members access past recorded meetings?
- Yes, a deactivated team member can access recordings from past meetings, as long as the meeting organizer's recap settings allow it.
- If the admin has set the recap visibility to "Only teammates", "Teammates or participants" or "Everyone", then the deactivated user will still be able to view those past recordings since they remain on the admin's teammates list.
- However, if recap settings are changed to "Only host", deactivated teammates will no longer have access.
