Fireflies allows you to create short, impactful audio and video clips or Soundbites from your meetings and multimedia files. You can create it manually or automatically.
In this article, we’ll explain how to manually create Soundbites from your meeting transcripts.

Create Soundbites by highlighting the meeting transcripts
- Highlight the section of the transcript and click Create Soundbite.
- Fireflies will open a pop-up box with an auto-generated title. You can edit the title, add it to a playlist, and change the access of the Soundbite. When finished, click Done.
- The clip will be visible in the Soundbite tab.
Create Soundbites using the Soundbite button
- Open the meeting from which you want to create sound bites. Click Soundbite and then Create next to Drag and select transcript.
- Drag the audio player to select the portion of the meeting you want to turn into a soundbite and click Create Soundbite.
- Alternatively, you can manually enter the start and end time in the Start and End text boxes and click Create Soundbite. For example, here we have created a sound bite by entering the start time as 1 minute 55 seconds and the end time as 2 minutes 27 seconds.
- Fireflies will analyze the clip and generate a suitable title. You can edit the title, add it to a Playlist and share it with others. Next, click Done.
