In this article, let us see the steps to create and manage a Playlist. Here is what we'll cover:
What are Playlists
- A Playlist is a library or collection of Soundbites from multiple calls. Here is a use case of a Playlist:
- You can have a Playlist- Competitors
- You can then add Soundbites from multiple Sales calls where Competitor features were discussed.
- Your team can now learn all the competitor's insights from hundreds of Sales calls in a few minutes by going through this single Playlist.

How to Create a Playlist
- Click on the Playlist tab on the left-hand side. This brings you to the Playlist page. Click on the Create playlist button
- Enter the Playlist name
- Set the privacy access for your Playlist. You will find these three options

- Public: Anyone with a link to your Playlist will be able to view all the conversations within the Playlist
- Team: Only your team-mates will be able to view your Playlist
- Private: Only you will be able to view your Playlist
Note: By default, your Playlist will have the access set to Public.

- After setting your Playlist name and privacy access you can click on the Create button to create your new Playlist
Adding Soundbites to a Playlist
You can add Soundbites to either a single Playlist or multiple Playlists.
1. Add Soundbites to a Single Playlist
- Click on a Playlist
- Click on the Add Soundbites button
- You will all the Soundbites created by you and your team.
Note: Use the created by Filter to filter out the Soundbites you want.
- You can also type in specific keywords within the search bar and find the Soundbites you need to add to your Playlist.
- You can now see all the Soundbites grouped into the Playlist
2. Add a Soundbite to Multiple Playlists
- Within a Playlist, click on the three dots next to the Soundbite
- Select the Add to Playlist option
- This lists down all the Playlist titles. Select the checkbox next to the Playlist title where you want to add this Soundbite. Your Soundbite is now added to more than one Playlist

How to Edit a Playlist
1. Re-arrange Soundbites within a Playlist
- Within the Playlist, hover over the Soundbite that you want to rearrange. Click on the six dots next to the Soundbite
- Drag the Soundbite to a preferred position to change the order of the Soundbite
2. Remove a Soundbite from a Playlist
- To remove a Soundbite, click on the three dots next to a Soundbite
- Select the option to Remove from Playlist
- You'll see that the Soundbite has been removed from the Playlist. You'll also see that the count of Soundbite within the Playlist and the total Playlist minutes also reflect the change
3. Rename a Playlist Title
- From the Playlist dashboard, click on the three dots next to the Playlist name
- You can also go inside a Playlist and find the three dots next to the Playlist title
- Select the Rename option
- Enter the new name within the Playlist Name textbox and click on Rename
- The Playlist title will now reflect the new name
4. Rename a Soundbite within a Playlist
- Click on the three dots next to the Soundbite that you want to rename
- Select the rename option
- Enter the new title for your Soundbite within the Soundbite Title and click on Save
How to Use the Search Function
1. Use the search function to search Playlists
- To search for a specific Playlist, type in the Playlist title within the Search function
2. Use the search function to search Soundbites
- If you've added more Soundbites within a Playlist, you can use the search function to find specific Soundbite titles
How to Remove/Delete a Playlist
- Click on the three dots next to the Playlist title
- Select the Delete option
- Select the Confirm message to delete the Playlist from your dashboard completely
How to share the Playlist with the team
- To share the entire Playlist, click on the Share button
- You can enter individual emails within the search box or share the Playlist with contacts on your Microsoft teams or Slack
- You can also copy the Playlist link and share it with users via email, slack, or any other channels
Note: When you share the Playlist with your contacts or via email, the person will get an email notification about the New Playlist.
How to view or play the Playlist
Depending on the Privacy access you've set for your Playlist and Soundbites, your Playlist will be viewed by anyone, teammates, participants, or only you.
- Below is the screenshot where both the Playlist and Soundbites have the Public Access view
- You can click on the Playall button or simply click on the Soundbite to play the Playlist
- You can see the Soundbites within the Playlist. You'll also see the Transcripts on the right-hand side
FAQ:
1. If I add a Private Soundbite inside a Playlist with Public access, can anyone with a Playlist link be able to play the Soundbite?
No. If you've set your Soundbite to Private access, only you will have access to the Soundbite. In this case, the person with your Playlist link won't be able to play that particular Soundbite. The Soundbite will appear as Private.
However, they can play other Soundbites depending on its privacy access settings.
