Fireflies supported languages

Fireflies supports transcription and summary in over 100 languages. In this guide, you’ll learn how to:

Set a default language for all meetings
Change the language for a specific meeting

Set a default language for all meetings

To apply one transcription language to all meetings:

Go to your Fireflies dashboard
Click Meeting language at the top
Select your preferred language from the dropdown

All your future meetings will be transcribed in the selected preferred language

Change language for one meeting

You can update the transcription language for specific meetings without changing your default:

Go to Upcoming meetings on the dashboard
Make sure the Fireflies toggle is turned ON
Click the language icon next to the meeting
Choose your preferred language

This only applies to meetings you own or are hosting

Can Fireflies detect multiple languages in one meeting?

No. Fireflies transcribes meetings in the single language you choose ahead of time.

Can I transcribe uploaded files in my preferred language?

Yes. Before uploading, just choose your preferred language. Fireflies will transcribe the audio using that language setting.
